    Opening Prayer
    ==============

        God of all mercies, by the death and resurrection of Your Son, 
        You reconciled the world to Yourself and sent us the Holy Spirit 
        for the forgiveness of our sins.  Through the ministry of the Church, 
        please grant us pardon and peace, and take away all our sins 
        in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. 
        Amen!

        How well do I remember that I am a member of God's Family? 
        Do I give some time to God in prayer by myself?  
        Do I pray with others? 

        How well do I remember that I am a member of my family? 
        Do I share?  Do I obey?  Have I hurt anybody in the family? 

        How well do I follow God's Law?  Do I honor God? 
        Do I use God's name badly?  Do I worship on Sunday? 
        Do I honor my parents?  Do I harm myself or others? 
        Am I pure in body and mind?  Do I steal or cheat? 
        Do I lie?  Do want what others have? 

        How well do I forgive others?  How well do I ask for
        forgiveness when I am wrong? 

        How well do I help others?  Do I try to make people happy?

    Act of Contrition

        O my God, 
        I am heartily sorry for having offended you. 
        I detest all my sins because of your just punishments, 
        but most of all because they offend you, my God, 
        who are all good and deserving of all my love. 
        I firmly resolve, with the help of your grace, 
        to sin no more and to avoid the occasions of sin. 
        Amen.
